This statement explains which personal data Shareshed processes, why, and what your rights are. We process only the data needed to operate the platform.
1. Data we collect
We store your name (optional), email address, place of residence, and an optional map location. We also keep records of your tools, reservations, reviews, and reputation points.
2. Why we use your data
Your data is used to run the platform: to authenticate you, match tools within your area, facilitate reservations between neighbours, and send transactional emails such as reservation and password-reset messages.
3. Sharing with others
We never sell your data. Limited profile details (such as name or email and place of residence) are shown to the other party when a reservation is made, so lender and borrower can arrange the handover.
4. Map and address lookup
Address search and map tiles are provided by OpenStreetMap and its Nominatim service. When you search for an address, your query is sent to OpenStreetMap to return matching results.
5. Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account and personal data at any time via your profile page or by contacting support.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to processing. To exercise these rights, contact us via the support page.
