Shareshed

Lending agreement

Version 1.0 · Last updated 2026-06-16

This agreement describes the terms under which you lend and borrow tools through Shareshed. By creating an account you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms.

1. Shareshed's role

Shareshed is a free intermediary platform that connects neighbours who want to lend or borrow tools. Shareshed is not the owner, renter, or keeper of any tool and is not a party to the agreement between lender and borrower.

2. Honesty and good faith

You agree to lend and borrow tools honestly and in good faith. Describe tools accurately, make clear arrangements with the other party, and return borrowed tools on time and in the agreed condition.

3. Reporting theft

As a lender, you agree to always file a police report in the event of theft. Keep all communication via Shareshed as evidence and inform the other party.

4. Own risk and liability

Lending and borrowing tools is entirely at your own risk. Shareshed acts only as an intermediary and is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, theft, or consequential damage arising from the use of the platform or borrowed tools.

5. Prohibited items

It is not permitted to list hazardous substances, weapons, illegal items, or items that legally require a licence to rent out. Misleading listings and offensive content will be removed and accounts may be blocked for abuse.

6. Changes to these terms

Shareshed may update this agreement. When material changes are made, the version number is increased and you may be asked to accept the updated terms before continuing to use the platform.
